Matthew Dowd of Dowd Scheffel was quoted in an article published by Bloomberg Law about changes to the Federal Circuit’s docket due to COVID-19 concerns. Mr. Dowd spoke about changes in the Federal Circuit’s practice to always grant oral argument in represented cases, in an effort to ensure the health and safety of all those involved. He states that the Federal Circuit is the only circuit court to grant oral argument in all cases and the Court’s decision to decide some cases only on briefs is no cause for alarm.
